Very good pizza. Friendly staff. They go the extra mile to make sure you have a good dining experience. I have only ordered take out, never dined in, but they made sure my 4 pizzas were done on time and tasty. I also ordered from them for a school fundraiser on a weekly basis for about two years, and the pizza was always good, on time, and I felt the ingredients were fresh and care was taken to cook them properly. Thanks Trevi!

If I could give this place a 0 star review I would... They delivered our food and hour after the 45 minute estimate, and it was freezing cold (pretty sure the delivery man was doing drugs on the way because he was super sketchy and the food was freezing) when I called in to let them know they said the only option they had for me was to return to get my pizzas and then I would have to wait for them to deliver a new one... What a joke. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

I came here with my fiancee for an Italian date since we just moved to the area. --It seems they prefer providing take-out service / delivering your food rather than having guests in the restaurant. Which was indicative of the poor service they provided for walk-ins. They menu is mediocre unless you want pizza. Haven't ordered or thought about this place since.

Save your time save your money & miss out on the frustration. I unfortunately choose to order delivery from them. Pretty simple sausage, pepperoni & mushrooms with an order of hot wings & 2 ltr diet coke. I only had to call them 4 times before receiving my order 2 1/2 hours later. The wings were BBQ not "hot" wings, the pizza was like cardboard & cold. But they couldn't even get the diet coke correct. They did make a big deal out of giving me an $8.00 discount oh boy! I'll chew off one of my fingers before I'd eat something they made.

I saw this when we arrived at holiday inn in San Diego. Ordered two pizzas for the family via phone. The order was taken and the pizza never delivered. My revenge.....I called holiday inn and will never see their stupid fliers again. You guys suck!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is one instance when I wish yelp had an option to give 0 stars. Honestly, this place doesn't deserve the one star. First off, the lady taking my order on the phone was rude and didn't sound professional at all. She said my pizza would be delivered in 40 mins or less. After AN HOUR AND A HALF of waiting we finally get the pizza and tip the delivery guy generously despite the wait time. We opened the pizza and discovered that they forgot to add the anchovies that we paid for. We open the salad and start eating some of it before finding a huge fly in one of the salad leaves. Disgusted with our delivery I called back asking to get some kind of refund but was denied because their manager wasn't in the store. Please save yourself the $30 and just go somewhere else with decent customer service. Definitely would not come back ever.

Do not eat here. My girlfriend and I are here for our anniversary and decided to try something new. We order pizza and ravioli. The pizza is bland and soggy and falls apart. My girlfriend had one slice and doesn't want more. I wouldn't be surprised if we get food poisoning or something. We or the ravioli as well and it only came with four in the box and they weren't what we ordered. God to dominoes or pizza hut or something.

Wow, it took 1 hour and 44 minutes to get our food. I had 3 hungry preteens and they were dying..."literally" of hunger. Please don't order from them, I like to support local companies but I would hit up Dominos or Pizza Hut any day, if this is what local is. You have been warned!

The worst service I have ever experienced in my life. I had to repeat all of my information three times. It was a two hour wait and the food was still not delivered. Call to check on the order and was lied to about the status of it. Lady on the phone said the driver was stuck in traffic on the freeway, they were located 5 minutes away from our hotel (2 streets down). Decided to cancel the order and they said they would inform the driver, he still showed up 20 minutes later. Not only do they provide bad service, but they also have horrible communication through their own workplace and within their team. Absolutely ridiculous experience, complete waste of time. Avoid.

The food is not good at all. The pasta dishes and the pizza are very mediocre. The restaurant has nice decor, looks nice and clean but it does not match the food. Only thing I liked was the bread. Service was ok, our waitress sorta had a attitude. Not going back.

To quote comic book guy, "Worst Place Ever!". I ordered a Caesar Salad (Hearts of romaine lettuces, herbs, croutons, shaved Parmesan cheese with our homemade Caesar dressing. Served with homemade bread), Spaghetti Meatballs (Spaghetti with meatballs and homemade marinara sauce), Chicken and Shrimp Carbonara, (Chicken and shrimp with rigatoni pasta in a pancetta bacon Parmesan sauce). Let's break this down: Caesar Salad (Hearts of romaine lettuces, herbs, croutons, shaved Parmesan cheese with our homemade Caesar dressing. Served with homemade bread. Here is what we got, chopped romaine lettuce, no herbs, stale croutons, no Parmesan cheese, and a packet of Caesar dressing. Spaghetti Meatballs (Spaghetti with meat balls and homemade marinara sauce), Here is what we got, over cooked spaghetti, three very small meatballs, and water-downed marinara sauce that tasted like it was out of a can. Chicken and Shrimp Carbonara, (Chicken and shrimp with rigatoni pasta in a pancetta bacon parmesan sauce). Here is what we got, under cooked rigatoni pasta, about 2oz of chicken nibbles, pancetta bacon parmesan sauce that was ok, but tasted of garlic, and 2.5 shrimps with the tail and shell still on. The "garlic bread" that came with the food, was dry, stale, and not good. I have driven by this place many times, wanting to try it. I'm very sad to say; that Trevi is staffed by very lazy cooks, and the amounts of chicken, shrimp, and meatballs is not worthy of the cost of the plates. Sadly, I picked up my food, and it was not worth eating nor driving back to return it. However, If I ate there, I would have sent the food back, refused to pay, and walked out. Save your time and money, do not eat here.

I don't have words or how poor the service at this restaurant is. We ordered delivery, and when our food came an hour late, most of it had spilled out of the containers. The pizza and calzone had been sitting around for a long time and were completely grease soaked. We called to inform the restaurant, and they said nothing could be done to rectify the situation. So. If you want to be treated poorly and be stuck with nasty food, I encourage you to order from Trevi. I, however, will never eat here again.

This place is a little hole in the wall that offers some of the most amazing Italian cuisine. Although it's not to fancy it makes up for that with the quality of its food. You can dine in, take out and they will even cater your event. This place is one if my kids favorite places to eat.

It doesn't even deserve a star!! Seriously this restaurant is probably like the ones you see on kitchen nightmares!!! Food here is beyond gross, everything taste old and everything had so much oil!!! Had shrimp chicken pasta, the pasta was old and some shrimp had all the shell and others not it really smelled and tasted old! Don't eat there!!!

I ordered a pizza for take out and it was pretty gnarly. I got the combo that came with a salad wings and "breadsticks". I literally got 2 breadsticks that were no bigger than my phone, and the buffalo sauce that came on the wings was a complete joke, the sauce was as thin as water and the chicken was as like chewing rubber. I'm so sad that I spent over $20 on something that tasted so bad. Just order from a chain restaurant like Pizza Hut or Dominos. You'll get 3x the quality for half the price.

i hate giving bad reviews .... but my disappointment was big. the pizza was good ...but the ravioly and fettuchini were so bad the sauce was extremely watered down the garlic bread was just plain hot bread with flavorless yello stains. the menu said fresh home made pasta.....more like frozen microwaved watered down sauce from melted ice. So after spending 30 on bad food now i have to go find another place and pay again for lunch.

Review is on the food only. If you want tasteless Italian food please come here. Meatballs were as tough and dry as a leather shoe, sauce was bland.. please save your money and time. Pizza was nothing to write home about either. Your better off going to Little Italy and getting some great Italian food.

Made the mistake of ordering delivery at closing time. Pepperoni w shrooms and a salad. I got one of the worst pizzas I've ever had, including frozen. I got a cold, old pepperoni pizza with a few shroom slices dumped on top. It was obvious it was a pepperoni pizza sitting on the counter for hours, and instead of baking a pizza that I ordered, they fcuked me with a half assed cardboard pile of $hit. Never ever calling these people again. Sorry its closing time, but if you can't bake me a fcuking pizza, then do the right thing and turn down my business.

This review is strictly for "take-out/delivery" service. I have not been to the restaurant. Was nearby this location for work and we decided to order lunch to be delivered-in. Called in the order and delivery wasn't a problem. They were on-time and took Amex Corp Card for payment (via "Square" on a smartphone). My fellows had a Pizza with Olives, Artichoke, and Pepperoni, while I had the Trevi Salad with grilled chicken. Others had Fettucine Alfredo and Chicken Marsala. My Trevi salad was just okay. It's their signature salad with baby spring mix lettuce, sliced strawberries, candied walnuts and grilled chicken with a raspberry vinaigrette. The chicken was dry, tough, and tasteless. That really made this the "just okay" part of my comment. The rest was good -- from the spring mix lettuce (which was very fresh) to the freshly sliced strawberries, and sweetened up with the candied walnuts. I could have done without the chicken and I would have been a happy(-ier) camper. My friend said the pizza was good, but I didn't hear any rave comments other than that. Perhaps it was professional/business courtesy. Other people's orders there wasn't too much rave comment either. Mind you, that doesn't mean it's bad, nor good... I just didn't hear any, "ooh's, ahh's,... this is so good" type of yelps anywhere. In fairness of the restaurant and myself never being to the actual restaurant itself, I will give them a very fair rating of 3 stars. However, I don't find myself craving or desiring to order out from here again -- and I probably would look for other options before doing so.

We were craving a good pizza n good wings for delivery. Told us 45-1 hr. They got here 2 hours later. We ordered a 2 liter Hawaiian punch we never got because they forgot it. Hardly any sauce on the pizza only ate halfway up. The wings were not fresh n very chewy. I feel there is no thought or care that goes into what they create. I would not recommend this restaurant.

We came down to San Diego for sea world and ordered delivery because it was convenient and the menu was at the hotel. The prices were more affordable than the other 2 menus that were here and I wish we would've went with a different one. We ordered the family pack which included a large pizza, garlic bread, wings and a caesar salad. The pizza was super oily and was not cut so we had to rip it apart. They gave us 4 plates and a couple napkins so we had to share. The wings were small and not great. The bread they gave us was rock hard and the salad was wilted. As I was eating the salad I saw a dead fly in it and I stopped eating. My husband called to complain and they offered us more food so we got another pizza it took over an hr to get it and by that time I wasn't hungry at all. Definitely staying clear of this place.

Ordered from Eat24, estimated delivery time was 45-60 minutes. After more than an hour, I called the restaurant and asked for the status of my order. The lady said that the driver was on his way and it should take 5-7 minutes. 10 minutes later, nada. I called again, put on hold several times, told me that the driver was at the font door, but he wasn't. I asked for the driver's name and called him directly. I was able to direct him where the door is, but made me go back to my apartment to look for a pen to sign the check. I cannot wait to enjoy the food but there was nothing enjoyable about it at all. The pasta tasted very bland that it seemed like there was no seasoning on it at all. It was cold and the side salad wasn't there. Never again.

RAMERO, I hadn't been to your restaurant for a few months & wanted you to know that the quality of your food has really gone down hill... I'm a local & I was so hoping to find a place for my family & friends to eat on a regular basis. But there was NO flavor in your meatballs & the marinara sauce had no Italian spices or even any GARLIC in it?? We tasted no garlic in anything??...I had the eggplant dinner & it was so bland!! What a huge disappointment it was eating at your restaurant. It now looks like your establishment is turning into a "pizza joint" with a delivery service, which is fine because we don't have a lot of those in our neighborhood. It seems that your Mexican cooks are not following your Italian recipes??...lol....What happened to the Italian cooks you used to have in your kitchen??.....We left a tip but didn't pay for our food....I signed the bill your night time manager gave us...He understood completely why we left so unhappy....I will not recommend your restaurant to any of my friends or neighbors....Good luck to you!!...Debbie

This place is a scam, I have lived in SD my entire life. DO NOT EAT HERE. They hire people to sneak into hotels and put flyers under doors. They are extremely rude and aggressive toward the Hotel employees. I only found out about this place because of a recent stay-cation where I saw one of their employees cursing at a hotel employee for asking them to leave. Seriously???? Many of my friends who work at the hotels here in SD, have told me how horrible this restaurant is, as well as how horrible their tactics are. Do me a favor and never support this unethical business...

Me n the hubby ate here abt 6months ago for the first time and the service such as the food was great I cant recall his name but it was a mexican server and he was very attentive and helpful. Large portion. Today we order through yelp and food got here in abt 1hr, the delivery guy called me to offer me a different soda since the one i choosed ran out ,which i appreciated the heads up. Food was very hot, and tasty. We live near by and never realized how good of an italian restaurant we have closed by. Definitely recommend :)

I noticed all these poor reviews so some of the competition must be trying to gain some market share back. Trevi has REALLY good food and their pizza is really good, too (as evidenced by they now have like 5 delivery trucks). I'm new yorker and Italian and I think I know good Italian food so there. This is definitely not a 1 start joint as some of the recent reviews have indicated. Haters!

disappointed. Ceasar salad was no good. had nothing to it and over priced, dressing tasted like out of a jar, nothing but stale croutons and lettuce. We ordered delivery and the prices were higher than the website prices, was shocked when arrived. Maybe their pizza is good, maybe should of ordered that instead of soup and salads. Probably not going to order again..

"When the service stinks, the food reflects it!" A coworker and I called in an order for pick up. When we got there, they had my order incorrect. Rather than correcting, they were annoyed that I pointed it out and she went to the back to grab my correct salad. She also charged us full price rather than Lunch Special. When I pointed it out, she said those menu's are old. THEN DON'T HAVE THEM AVAILABLE TO ORDER FROM! I'm not one to argue over food for the fear of having some bodily fluid present, but really? The tension grew between her and I when I paid my order and left. The salad was $4 for a small bed of greens, carrots and onions with an awful balsamic vinaigrette. Save your money and go to Food 4 Less instead. The farfalle with broccoli was okay, but not noteworthy. For $7, it wasn't worth the amount of food and tons of cream sauce. There were also 3 broccoli's in the whole damn thing! My work orders pizza spaghetti and salad from them and it tastes great! Apparently you have to order in bulk and NOT from the rude and unprofessional waitress. More than anything, that waitress was terrible. Both of them were! Yes we're in the ghetto, but damn!

the hotel I am staying in slipped an ad from this place under my door. looked up the reviews on yelp and besides customer service it sounded pretty decent at LEAST. ordered pizza and wings..very simple..so i thought. when the food arrived the pizza was cold and even if it wasn't the sauce was WAY to salty to even eat thru....the wings were OK at most....there were a couple that were so pink it scared us from eating the rest....this place was a big mistake.

Saw this place was new to Grub Hub so decided to try it out. Never again. Not worth the money or even the short amount of time it takes to order online. The calamari was rubbery, soggy, and NO flavor. The marinara with it had separated into tomatoes and grease. The Ravioli with Gorgonzola sauce had no flavor, tasted like a base that they forgot to add seasonings to and no Gorgonzola flavor and you get 5 raviolis that have hardly any filling and what filling there is has no flavor. The chicken florentina also was tasteless and way over cooked. Nothing good about this place. Not only would it anger a true Italian that they call this crap "Italian". To top it off they were way late and forgot our drinks. Take some advice and go anywhere but here if you want Italian as this place is only good if you are looking for crap.

Long story short - if you're hungry on the weekend, look elsewhere. I was staying in a San Diego hotel on a Friday night, and didn't want to go out to eat. Our hotel room had a flyer for Trevis Restaurant stating free delivery. 3 stars on yelp usually isn't bad, so we went for it. We ordered the "Trevis Special," 1 16" 2-topping pizza, garlic bread, Trevis salad, and 10 buffalo wings for $22.99 or so. Not a bad deal. We called in around 7pm and was quoted 45 minutes to an hour. This was about what we expected, so we weren't worried. 8pm comes, we're getting a little hungry. No big deal. 8:15, I decide to call. The guy who answered the phone wasn't too convincing: "Oh he just left, uh - he's on his way." Okay, great. 8:45pm, by this time, we're standing out on the balcony looking for the delivery guy. He finally gets there at 8:50, almost two hours after we ordered. I'm sure he's busy, but sheesh, if you're that busy, you need more delivery people!!! As for the food, it was less than satisfying. The garlic bread was decent, but we literally only received two small pieces of it. The buffalo wings were cold, so I had to reheat those in the microwave. The pizza was pretty good. Nothing to complain about. The salad was weird. Not only was it warm already, but I'm not really positive what it was supposed to taste like. It had strawberries and walnuts in it, but the dressing was completely bland and flavorless. Save your money, and order somewhere else.

The BF and I were in San Diego and we decided to have a quick dinner after Sea World. We ordered from Trevi-we were told the delivery would be between 45 and 60 minutes - turned into 1 hour and 30 minutes..Definitely not worth the wait: the pizza was decent, but everything else was thrown together and COLD; the chicken wings were tiny and the sauce had spilled into the bag causing a huge mess, the Trevi salad looked good but the strawberry vinaigrette was sooooo oily it was inedible, the garlic bread was actually a roll with hardly any garlic and the 2 liter was warm-WTF?

Note: This review is only about their delivery service and food. I haven't actually been to the restaurant. I ordered from this restaurant through my Eat24 app on my android for a delivery. I had the pasta special for $19.99 which included the rigatoni michelangelo, ravioli rosani, mixed salad, and bread. The rigatoni was good but the real star was the ravioli rosani which was homemade ravioli filled with ricotta cheese and spinach, the sauce was creamy pink/tomato sauce and was great! I will say that luckily I had the other food with the special because the ravioli only came with 5 large delectable pieces. None the less, 5 pieces of ravioli would never fill me up, so I was grateful for the rigatoni, salad, and bread. The delivery man was very nice and very fast. The delivery estimated time was between 45-60 minutes and he arrived within 30 minutes. I would most definitely order from here again and get the ravioli (delicious!)

My husband and I would go there quite a bit before I got stationed overseas. Got back and had to try it agan. San Diego PD go there and so does Channel 10 KGB. We went there for dinner and it was good. Then last week I got out of work early, and decided to have lunch there. When I got there all of the waitress' and their friends were sitting along the wall. I came in waited for someone to at least say, " have a seat anywhere, and someone will be with you. But I was standing ther for several moments under 1 minute. Then someone "Had" to see to me. Sorry ladies, I interupted your time. So, I ordered the Chicken dish, and a coke. Got the coke then the chicken. I took a bite, and it seems funny tasting. I checked it and cut it and it was raw! And I was alone, no one was out in the main area. I called twice but still no one answer. Finally, I had to practicely grab the waitress (just an expression) and told showed her the raw chicken. She looked at it and took it away. No "I am sorry about that or anything" At least acknowledge something anything. She did say something after the chicken was brough back to me, re cooked. Then the "I'm sorry" I went the 1st of March Friday after about 2 pm. So, I am sorry to all those that I had to interupt their time having to serve or cook or re-cook my food. Raw chicken? and re-cook? and feeling that I was a bother? This is off the list of italian restaurants in my neighborhood. Go to A taste of Italy in Hillcrest.

We decided to try this restaurant on a whim. When we arrived we were the only ones in the restaurant. Even so, it took a long time for someone to come over to greet and help us. We ordered a caprese salad as a starter, and were disappointed to find it consisted of a plate of cherry tomatoes, shredded lettuce and mozzarella. They did not have any balsamic on the plate, and the bottle they provided was poor quality and tasteless. The highlight was the freshly baked bread, which was very good, but it was overshadowed by the main course. We both had pasta dishes that took a very long time to come out, and which were too salty. The interior is dark and uninviting and there was an over abundance of flies bothering our table. Disappointing experience and not worth a second try.

Don't waste your money. This place deserves no stars. Just had pizza and wings delivered to us. The delivery guy forgot out ranch and dropped our soda. The wings tasted like they were a day old and were barely warm when we got them. The pizza was below average. It was all grease and no flavor. It was so greasy the cheese couldn't even stay on the crust. My family and I are physically ill. This is the first and last time I call Trevi's Italian Ristorante.

To be fair, I tried this exact same meal the last time and I had no problem with it. Today, however, it was just no good on so many different levels. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and a side salad no dressing. What I got was a chicken sandwich with a piece of some kind of aluminum of metal sitting atop my chicken and some greens with some sweet, red stuff covering it. My coworkers ordered fettuccine alfredo and apparently it wasn't good. They called and asked for their money back. The prices are too high for this joint. And now with this experience I'm done forever. Sorry Trevi you seemed so promising and I really wanted to like you.

I always seem to end up here with my mentor, but to be honest I don't even like it. The sauce tastes like they popped open a can of tomato sauce and dumped it on some spaghetti. The veggies are simply steamed and sometimes not thoroughly cooked. The only part I like about Trevi is the bread.

Came here for a team lunch with some co-workers strictly because there aren't a lot of places to eat near my work and it was convenient. The second I walked in the door and noticed that there was no one else in the place, that there would probably some issues. We had a party of 10 and to expedite things, we placed our orders over the phone prior to coming. The menus that we had clearly stated that if you order a lunch special, it comes with a side salad. When we got there, they just started bring large, more expensive salads out to everyone and we explained to them that these were supposed to be small side salads and the waiter basically didn't know what we were talking about and made things really difficult. I was trying to tell him, "I don't care what the menu said or what you think it said, I just want a damn side salad with blue cheese dressing" but apparently that was too hard to comprehend, so we all just said forget the salads. For the food itself, I had a few bites of a large Caesar salad that was brought to the table and the lettuce very soggy. Someone ordered a meat pizza, and that tasted decent. I ordered Chicken Florentina and while it tasted decent, it was SOOOOO small. It was like 2 tiny pieces of chicken that were like 1 bite each and it came with some mashed potatoes that looked and tasted like they were made from powder. The sodas we ordered were all flat too. Overall, I give the place 2 stars strictly due to the pizza and chicken dish having a decent flavor, but that's it. I can just tell the quality of the food was sub-standard and kept thinking to myself that Gordon Ramsay would have so much fun with a place like this.

I have gone here several times for lunch and their chicken parm lunch special is what I always order - love the fantastic, tangy tomatoe sauce! I have to give a low score though because lately, the food is inconsistent (tiny portions of chicken, changed noodles, different sauce) and the service the last time was the worst! We were there almost an hour and finally asked them to just send the food out in to go boxes because it was taking so long. We were the ONLY table at lunch (high-noon)... Just not what it was when it opened... Sad... :(

Food was fine but the delivery person got lost for an hour and everything arrived like it had been sitting under a heating lamp for days. It was like getting pizza at the airport. They need to get a GPS.

This place is not worth a one star review. The food is over priced for the quality that is served to you . Delivery service sucks. Our order was delivred and all the cartons were leaking sauce and a mess to take out . My dish was gross . I ordered egg plant with chicken over linguni pasta . I served angel hair pasta , chicken was chewy , egg plant was under cooked or not ripe can't .I asked for more chicken and less pasta and they did the opposite . The other food ordered is not even worth mentioning. Good luck everyone .

Food was way below average. The salad we got appeared to be old. The hot wings that we got seem like they just poured Tabasco sauce on them and left it like that. The pizza that we had was okay. It took over two hours for my order to be delivered to my hotel room. The driver forgot the credit card swipe system when he delivered the pizza. Luckily I had enough cash on me. It would've been nice if the place would've called us tell us that the delivery was going to be so late. They did not even apologize for the inconvenience that this gave us. I will never order from this place again.

Very un-friendly awkward and weird place to sit and eat at. I think it's the area that's in but they are very high cost $$$$ and the food is just average. I wouldn't go back the services is horrible and the place is always empty no customers. But I guess delivery is okay the food was cold few times...

Unfortunately there is no option to choose zero stars. The food is straight crap. We got the family pack which includes: 2 topping pizza 10 chicken wings Caesar salad 2 liter soda And garlic bread Lets start with the pizza...way to thick of just straight dough... No sauce. I will say they put a decent amount of toppings but that didn't help the crap pizza. I've had better pizza at chucky cheese or even a frozen pizza would have been better. The chicken wings, although they didn't make them, we're the cheap wings with no chicken on them. Can't really blame them for it...but still shows the quality of food they serve. The salad was bad. There were some bugs on the leaves so they obviously didn't clean the romain before they serve it. It comes with PACKAGED Caesar dressing...WHAT...now I haven't been to the location but they call themselves a restaurant...again just showed the quality. Oh and the croutons if that's what they were were like bread bits. Not crunchy croutons that one would expect. Luckily for them they can't screw up soda But the garlic bread were actually dinner rolls. AGAIN just showed the quality. This was a bad experience and to top it off it took over an hour to get out food delivered and they said it was because they ran out of pizza boxes???? AGAIN what??? How does a restaurant run out of boxes or any supplies. AGAIN SERIOUSLY SHOWS THE QUALITY OF THIS PLACE. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Try it for yourself if you must...but don't say you weren't warned.

I first heard about trevis from a flyer that was dropped off at work. We decided to go one day, the place is always empty. Right away the waiter brought drinks and once we ordered, the salad, bread were served. I really like their salads, they have a unique sweet taste. I ended up ordering the chicken with mushrooms and spinach plate. It was good, except I saw no spinach. Its true, the food is a bit on the greasy side. But what italian food isn't? Service was great, price was great too, I took my wife and kid and w spent 22.50 and we were stuffed. In short here's what my review consists of; food 1 star price, 1 star service1 star location, no star-Its located in the Ghetto. Cleanness, tables were greasy and very scratched chairs are somewhat damaged.

not really authentic Italian food coming from someone who is from Jersey/Italian. This place would be out of business in about 3 three months in jersey. It was comparable to cafeteria food back home. NJ however does not know mexican food, but they definetely know Italian, and this place was not very good. Nice service though, and location, so at least they have that going for them.

Roach coach was recently at Third and Fir. They were parked right in front of Taco Rey during lunch in their pick up parking. I felt bad for Taco Rey so I did not buy anything. An off duty cop warned a couple of pizza eaters who were using Taco Rey tables to eat their Trevi food. The Trevi driver was pretty rude. I was surprised I just can't support them now. Maybe they don't know what their drivers are doing.

The food is wonderful! One of the best Margharita (sp?) Pizza's around. It is reminiscent of what had in Sicily. Do yourself a favor and try it! If you don't like what you have...then let them know so they can improve.

I've never physcally walked into this joint to order and I dont plan on it, here's why...Tonight my family and I were real hungry like the type on hunger you can feel in your ankles so we were planning on ordering a fair (like $50 or more bucks worth) amount of food for delivery, then something tragic happened, SHE picked up the phone, all I know is that she didn't give s**t tonight, she picked up the line and slurred out a phrase that I wont even consider a greeting and I told her I would like to place an order for delivery, she said "okay what do you vant?" (not want because of her accent). I asked her for the Trevis Special (2 top Pizza, Salad and Wings) she was nonchalant the whole time not even a sand grain's worth a niceness but what got me was when I asked about what is on the salad, she said "lettuce tomato onion strawberries, walnuts with a raspberry vinaigrette", so I said "I'm allergic to nuts and strawberries can I get another type of salad?" and she said very quickly "No"...o____O...I almost had to stop myself from saying "B***h what?" She really thought I was going to purchase something I can't even eat. I was silent which apparently allowed the synapses in her brain to connect point A to point B and she reacted with "oh you can get the House salad it had lettuce, tomato, and blah blah blah (Kesha anyone)." I had already stopped listening and just hung up the phone. Now for my Final Thought...I don't know how this business makes the bulk of its money but if your business isn't a conglomerate like McD's that can afford advertisement at the freaking 2012 Olympics than that means your business has to depend on the hard earned cash of the hungry patrons that live, work and sleep near you establishment so my point is to be good to your customers and we will come in every day/week/month of every corresponding word to match, to purchase your food because a good meal becomes great when the person who served it to you is kind and appreciative. Even if I spent $5 at a place if you treat me like I spent $100 then guess what I'm gonna get my parties cartered by you, my business meeting lunches from you and recommend my friends and family to you. But not this time because SHE ruined it for ya. Peace!!!

I have lived a couple blocks from this place for close to four years now. I love Italian food (more than most, I would bet), and yet I had not brought myself to come here before tonight. There is just something strange about a nice, family style Italian restaurant in THIS part of San Diego. Not that that should affect my views on the food, so let me get to that. I enjoyed some chicken breasts stuffed with cheese while wrapped in bacon, all in a cream sauce with mashed potatoes on the side. This dish was VERY flavorful, yet it did not strike me as authentic. The texture of the sauce was less than completely smooth, and I felt that distracting yet not off-putting. The mashed potatoes seemed to have come from a box. I would order this again readily, though I would ask to sub out the potatoes for the sauteed spinach. My wife had the salmon, which came with the aforementioned spinach and broccoli on the side. There was nothing bad about the salmon, but nothing notable about it either. In fact, it came under-cooked (still too glassy looking inside), and we asked them to cook it a bit more. They did so gladly. The meal was served first with what appeared to be hand-made rolls which were buttery, lightly coated with small amounts of garlic, and rosemary inside the dough. These was not fabulous, but very good. The standard oil and balsamic vinagrette was served with the rolls without are asking. This is one of the rare times when I am dead middle of the road over my synopsis. My dish was better than just good, yet my wife's was lacking a bit. I feel the prices are in line with most comparable Italian restaurants, but this place is so out of the way and NOT in a good part of town that I feel prices should be lower. I have never passed this place to see it doing good business, which makes me wonder how it is even staying afloat. I can't say I would recommend this place, there is better (Filippi's Pizza Grotto - downtown), but I can't knock it much either.

Tasteless food!!!! I have eaten at this restaurant several times. Each time I said "OK! One more chance" but that is it. The food is so bland. I don't know how someone can make tasteless pizza. Whatever I tried here it was bad. I will never go to Trevi again.

The meal I had did not deserve any stars. It was suggested that I order chicken florentine. What a mistake. There were two small rolls of chicken filled with something, they were barely warm and swimming in an oily cream sauce with boxed mashed potatoes. If they have that little concern about their product, I will not go back to try anything else.

We started ordering pizza here because they send out coupons for two large 1-topping pizzas for $15.. pretty darn good, considering that we live in the area that is served with free delivery on orders over $14. The pizza has consistently been hot, toppings are fresh and tasty, and we've enjoyed the leftovers in every possible way - cold, microwaved, heated in the oven... it's all good. I keep telling myself that I'm going to try something else, but the cost/quality of the pizza keeps me from doing that.

YUM!!!! The food is great. I don't eat meat, so I can't say how those dishes go, but the salads and pizzas are fantastic. The service is a little sketchy... sometimes hit or miss, but I think that's true everywhere. They now have coupons to lower the price. Support local places. Try it!

My husband and I have ordered out from here a few times but have never been inside. Delicious spicy red sauce with capers came with the calamari. The chicken alfredo pizza was dangerously tasty. They have friendly, fast service. Seems like a nice family-owned business. By far, the best delivery food we have had in our neighborhood. Nice selection for vegetarians.

The highlight of the meal was the bread and iced tea. The meal went downhill fast after that. Pasta soup without pasta but with undercooked vegetables. Eggplant parmigiana that you needed a knife to cut the eggplant with. Salad with raspberry vinaigrette dressing (that came out the same time as the main course) and was too sweet. Polenta that was too salty. Spaghetti that was clumped together.

It's nice coming here- the owners and staff treat customers like family. The pizza crust and sauce has great flavor. The sauce for pasta entrees is light, without a lot of oils that seperate out. Had dinner there recently and noticed a new sign on the door- closed on Sundays. :(

Food overpriced and poorly made and the service is even worse!!! The two girls that worked there didn't even acknowledge my presence as I stood in front of them waiting to be offered a menu (which didn't happen I had to ask for one) this place was a huge disappointment I will never go back.

This is my favorite Italian food place ever!! I've been here way more times than I can count and have always had great experiences with the staff and most importantly the food. The atmosphere is very impressive considering the neighborhood they are in. But I think this serves as an advantage to Trevi because there is no competition for miles around. If it were at the Gaslamp it would not doubt be packed, but since it's a hidden gem not too many people know about there always a table available. I've recommended this place to a bunch of friends and co-workers and have only heard good things about it. Perfect for a first date :)

My wife and I ordered delivery from this place last night. We got 2 large one topping pizzas for $16! Epic deal. By the time we hung up the phone we had our pizzas in our house in 30 minutes, not bad for a restaurant cooked meal. They have really good deals on their fliers, and the food was really good. We haven't eaten at the restaurant, just ordered pizzas, but I am sure we'll go soon - 'cause the food was AWESOME. I will be ordering from here many more times.

Epic Fail. Greasy Italian food prepared by Mexicans. Funny how you don't see Italians trying to make Mexican food.

30Mar09 update: Went here (solo) for dinner on Saturday night. Had their Caesar salad, which was fine and the chicken marsala which was NOT. I've had their chicken marsala before and really like it, however, this time, EPIC FAIL. It tasted like chicken with some canned chicken gravy. There was no "marsala" to the chicken marsala at all. Trevi has slowly been going down hill since the ownership change and is now on "probation" with me, meaning they get 1 more strike before I quit going there. Too bad, they used to be so good.

For an italian restaurant they don't even know what an antipasta salad is. Then again thats what happens when non italians own it. Italian family sold it to some mexicans and it just went down hill from there. Plus too expensive for some small ass wings. other then that don't waste ur time goin.

The bread is probably the best I've ever had. The pizza is delicious. The service is great, so friendly. Yes, it's Italian food made by Mexicans...who cares. It's better than some of the italian I had in Little Italy. They need to vary the sauces they use...it's the same orange sauce comes out on seafood, pasta dishes, other appetizers, etc.
Ok, I know the neighborhood is not pretty, but this place is DEFINITELY worth a try. I wen to New York and ate at the "Best Pizzeria" called Luzzos, at least according to several locals. To my surprise, Luzzo's tasted just like Trevi! The PIZZA is THE BEST in SD. Seriously! I like all kinds, but this is my favorite. Plus, they have many other wonderful dishes, including the delicious Trevi salad, topped with a raspberry vinaigrette and an exotic mix of berries. Do yourself a favor and try it. Besides, the price is unbeatable for the quality. As for the neighborhood, Coca- Cola and San Diego News are right there...it's not THAT rough. Enjoy!

If you go......don't take the nice car, it may not be there when you're done with dinner and DON'T go when it's hot outside, I don't think they have A/C, BUT that said, it's worth a trip. The butter and wild mushroom stuffed polenta with gorgonzola appetizer makes risking your life worth it all by itself. The 3 choices (that's it folks) of wine, a Chard, a Cab and a Chianti were actually all decent. The entrees were all a hit too. AND, it's cheap. I'm thinking the overhead must be next to nothing given the location, but I'll be back. Next time I'll be having my own Polenta appetizer, no more sharing.

the restaurant is a gem. i knew it would be because of the table of cops inside - they seem to have a thing about great pizza ( see lefty's). you have to make an effort to get there because otherwise you will not see it on your usual routes. the atmosphere here is family style, not to upscale but very comforting, maybe the pavarotti and dean martin music is a little much. the pizzas (all we tried so far) are excellent, they were able to make a great vegan no cheese pizza for the mrs., the crust is good, the service very nice and accommodating, the prices are great - just a very nice down to earth place to go.

This place rocks. The staff is very attentive and really friendly. The food is great and reasonably priced. I have gotten coworkers hooked, and even have the office catering for lunches through them. The neighborhood is not the best, but it is not as scary as some reviews have made it seem. If you are a yuppy scared to go anywhere this might seem scary but in reality its not. I take all my friend here and they all love it. It is not a huge place but you could definitely fit a big group and be comfortable.

It's their crazy good Northern Italian cuisine and great prices that keeps people from as far away as Solana Beach coming back to Trevi. The Chicken Florentina is to die for....even the Union Trib's food critic said that sometimes you just have to take the road less traveled to find great food, see signonsandiego.com/union… The pizza is yummolas. And, the Italian chopped salad is a great choice, especially for those looking for a low-carb option. The waiters are very friendly and professional. I know good food and I know quality service. That's why I'm helping this small family owned business grow its catering business. Call me at 619.276.0090 if you'd like to try catering by Trevi for your next office lunch or special event.

this rating is only for the pizza because it is all i had there, but it is fantastic! actually, i am changing my rating to pretty good pizza. have been several times since my first review. i like it. i am not sure it is fantastic, to be honest. :)
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

(1)Sean L.
(2)Jeff C.

(2)Sang K.
Wow, it took 1 hour and 44 minutes to get our food. I had 3 hungry preteens and they were dying..."literally" of hunger. Please don't order from them, I like to support local companies but I would hit up Dominos or Pizza Hut any day, if this is what local is. You have been warned!
(1)Art H.
Avoid.
(1)Yaya M.

(1)Sarah H.
(1)Tasia H.
This place is a little hole in the wall that offers some of the most amazing Italian cuisine. Although it's not to fancy it makes up for that with the quality of its food. You can dine in, take out and they will even cater your event. This place is one if my kids favorite places to eat.
(3)Bella V.
Been coming here for years! Romero is the man here! Have any problems ask for him Mix pizza and just simple cheese pizza is to die for! Trevi Salad with fresh strawberries is the BEST
(5)Annabeth C.
(1)Syn S.
(1)Patty A.
i hate giving bad reviews .... but my disappointment was big. the pizza was good ...but the ravioly and fettuchini were so bad the sauce was extremely watered down the garlic bread was just plain hot bread with flavorless yello stains. the menu said fresh home made pasta.....more like frozen microwaved watered down sauce from melted ice. So after spending 30 on bad food now i have to go find another place and pay again for lunch.
(1)Denise P.
Review is on the food only. If you want tasteless Italian food please come here. Meatballs were as tough and dry as a leather shoe, sauce was bland.. please save your money and time. Pizza was nothing to write home about either. Your better off going to Little Italy and getting some great Italian food.
(1)chris d.

(3)Rosie T.

No stars for me. I have been here since they opened years ago. I am not sure but I think there's new owners and the food taste not good. Ordered a 2 topping pizza and it was horrible!!! The service was pleasant. The was no one in the place. What happened to the original owners???? Not happy going back to Lidos Pizza. Bye~~~~oh, I forgot I gave the pizza to my doggies they kinda enjoyed it

My spaghetti seemed like it had been sitting out for hours and was extremely stale. The chicken I received tasted just like bacon and was very rubbery. Don't go there unless you are looking to pay for a chew toy.

(1)Bianca M.
(1)Sylvia C.
Was down in San Diego for a few days and ordered take out delivered to my hotel room. Food was great, free delivery. Would order again. Everyone enjoyed their meal
(5)Maryella P.
(1)Melissa C.
(2)Barton F.
(2)Jerry Z.
Overpriced, even though the pasta is just 6 dollar. I walked by the delivery truck and bought one.
(1)Amber Z.
Sad... :(
(2)Cass M.
Food was fine but the delivery person got lost for an hour and everything arrived like it had been sitting under a heating lamp for days. It was like getting pizza at the airport. They need to get a GPS.
(1)Robin R.
(1)Robert P.
(2)Ramy D.
Very un-friendly awkward and weird place to sit and eat at. I think it's the area that's in but they are very high cost $$$$ and the food is just average. I wouldn't go back the services is horrible and the place is always empty no customers. But I guess delivery is okay the food was cold few times...
(1)Al A.
We ordered a delivery through GRUBHUB and they took over two hours to get it to out house. DO NOT ORDER FROM THESE GUYS!!

(3)Phil J.
not really authentic Italian food coming from someone who is from Jersey/Italian.

(1)Darryl C.

(3)Gamze C.
Tasteless food!!!! I have eaten at this restaurant several times. Each time I said "OK! One more chance" but that is it. The food is so bland. I don't know how someone can make tasteless pizza. Whatever I tried here it was bad. I will never go to Trevi again.
(1)Etta H.
(1)Erin B.
(4)J. E.
YUM!!!! The food is great. I don't eat meat, so I can't say how those dishes go, but the salads and pizzas are fantastic. The service is a little sketchy... sometimes hit or miss, but I think that's true everywhere. They now have coupons to lower the price. Support local places. Try it!
(5)Katlyn V.
(4)Dan B.
(2)Amy W.
It's nice coming here- the owners and staff treat customers like family. The pizza crust and sauce has great flavor. The sauce for pasta entrees is light, without a lot of oils that seperate out. Had dinner there recently and noticed a new sign on the door- closed on Sundays. :(
(4)Brittany M.
"You no like it you no buy it" ~ Roberto Really people. Just freakin' try it already.
(5)J Z.
Food overpriced and poorly made and the service is even worse!!! The two girls that worked there didn't even acknowledge my presence as I stood in front of them waiting to be offered a menu (which didn't happen I had to ask for one) this place was a huge disappointment I will never go back.
(1)Jerry G.
(5)Michael B.
(4)Jerry S.
Epic Fail. Greasy Italian food prepared by Mexicans. Funny how you don't see Italians trying to make Mexican food.
(1)Andrew T.
(2)Rick C.
For an italian restaurant they don't even know what an antipasta salad is. Then again thats what happens when non italians own it. Italian family sold it to some mexicans and it just went down hill from there. Plus too expensive for some small ass wings. other then that don't waste ur time goin.
(2)D L.
(4)maro s.
Appetizers were very good. Fried calamari was great. Entrees were good. Had the seafood Alfredo and eggplant parmesan. Deserts were good. Had the Canoli and Tiramasu. Customer service is good, but a little on the unprofessional side. Cleanliness: A Décor and ambiance was on point. Really liked the murals on the walls and ceiling. Prices were fair. Parking was plentiful.
(4)vince l.
Enjoy!
(5)Curt T.
(4)Ingo R.
the restaurant is a gem. i knew it would be because of the table of cops inside - they seem to have a thing about great pizza ( see lefty's). you have to make an effort to get there because otherwise you will not see it on your usual routes. the atmosphere here is family style, not to upscale but very comforting, maybe the pavarotti and dean martin music is a little much. the pizzas (all we tried so far) are excellent, they were able to make a great vegan no cheese pizza for the mrs., the crust is good, the service very nice and accommodating, the prices are great - just a very nice down to earth place to go.
(4)Elbert G.
(4)Jillian S.
we had food there last night that made both me and those with me all puke. food was gross ill never eat their again. thanks for making us all puke learn how to cook
(1)Julie V.
